Qualified Trades

We believe that the people involved in building your new home must be fully qualified to do the job properly and efficiently. We ensure our band-member apprenticeship and red seal tradespeople provide quality workmanship toward the new home design and build. 

We only hire a select group of subcontractors that meet our qualification standards. The Homes Division mentors band members and community members from entry-level positions through to certified training programs ensuring the next generation of band members learn the skills required for the construction trades into the future. 

Our homes are built to the Canadian Standards as set out by the BC Building Code and home occupancy inspection criteria.

Homes Division has commitment and the ultimate goal is to provide our band-members, customers and new homeowners with quality construction whether it is a small renovation or custom home. Our construction team is building single family homes, duplexes and tri-plex on band lands (IR 4, IR 6), as well as building market homes on IR 7 at West Harbour Village.

Our Housing Superintendent and Housing Manager are extremely knowledgeable on products and creative with new and innovative ideas for your reno or new home. We are very active in the community renovating our band member owned homes as well as improvements at Sandy Point Campground and Pierre’s Point campground located on IR6, 4 km west of Salmon Arm.  We are proud embers of the Canadian Home Builders’ Association Central Interior.
